Teams, Players & Rosters

Standings

Universal across baseball (MLB, KBO, NPB), basketball (NBA, KBL), soccer, football (NFL), and hockey (NHL). Baseball / basketball / soccer return an array of sport-specific rows sharing the base standings columns (team, wins, losses, rank): baseball rows add win percentage, games back, and streak; basketball rows add conference/division context; soccer rows add points, goal difference, and group placement. Baseball rows from MLB also carry the league's official qualification as the feed states it (clinch_indicator, clinched, division_champ, division_leader, wild_card_rank, wild_card_games_back, magic / elimination numbers); NBA rows carry the conference they are ranked in and the source's clinch code (conference, clinch_indicator, clinched). Each is absent, never empty, when the source does not state it.

Football and hockey return a { season, teams } board projected from the standings columns on the canonical team docs: NFL rows carry conference/division ranks, playoff seed, wins/losses/ties, win pct, and points for/against; NHL rows carry conference/division ranks, playoff seed, wins/losses/OT losses, standings points, points percentage, and goals for/against. season is the latest max_year across teams.

competition is required for soccer and optional for baseball and basketball, where the league id is the competition id. group applies to cup-stage soccer competitions (e.g. "Group A"). conference and division filter basketball standings. The filters are accepted and ignored for football and hockey, where the league is the competition and rows already carry conference/division context. Until the standings ingestion has run for a league, the endpoint returns an empty array (or an empty teams board) rather than 404.

Requires the stats entitlement (a paid plan). See Responses & Errors for the success envelope and availability rules.

Response

application/json

Standings rows ordered by rank.

dataobject[] | nullrequired
data.idstring
data.canonical_idstring
data.external_idsobject

Map from the exact stored source/namespace key to that provider's identifier for this entity. Keys vary by entity and league. Values are strings, even when the provider ID looks numeric. Use the exact key and value for external-ID lookups; these are distinct from the canonical ID. SOURCE_KEY below is an illustrative placeholder.

data.external_ids.{key}string
data.created_atstring<date-time>

Canonical document creation timestamp, when present; not the scheduled start or event time.

data.updated_atstring<date-time>

Canonical document update timestamp, when present. It is not a guarantee that every field was refreshed at this time; field provenance carries individual ingestion times.

The table the row is ranked in: NBA "East" / "West". Absent on KBL rows (a single round-robin league) and on rows written before the producer carried it.

data.clinch_indicatorstring

The source's clinch code (ESPN's clincher / stats.nba.com's ClinchIndicator): z best conference record, y division, x playoff berth, xp a berth won through the play-in, pb or pi a play-in berth, e eliminated. Absent when the club has clinched nothing; see clinched.

data.clinchedboolean

Whether the source carried a clinch for the club. Present (true or false) whenever the source had a clinch column; absent when it did not.

_metaobject

Response request/cache metadata. Optional evidence fields are specific to this handler; cache TTL does not measure source-data freshness.

_meta.request_idstring
_meta.served_fromenum<string>

Available options: live, cache

_meta.cache_ttl_secondsinteger

Response cache TTL; independent of source freshness. Omitted when zero.
